Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect almost nothing and sell nothing.

Last updated: May 2026

Summary: MidiPrompter is a local Mac application. It does not create accounts, does not send your songs or setlists to any server, and does not track your usage. Your data stays on your device.

Data We Collect

MidiPrompter does not collect personal data. The app runs entirely on your local Mac. Songs, setlists, scroll cues, and lighting configurations are stored in files on your computer and are never transmitted to us.

This Website

This website (midiprompter.com) uses Netlify for hosting. Netlify may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of normal hosting operations. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking service.

Network Features

When you use multi-device mode, MidiPrompter creates a local WebSocket server on your Mac. Other devices on the same local network can connect. This traffic never leaves your local network and is not transmitted to us.

Open Fixture Library

When you download the fixture library, MidiPrompter connects to GitHub (github.com) to download fixture data. This is a one-time download. GitHub’s privacy policy applies to that connection. No personal information is sent.

Contact

If you email us at midiprompter@gmail.com we receive and store your message to respond to it. We do not share email correspondence with third parties.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Since we collect almost nothing, significant changes are unlikely.
